Hampshire Staircase Refurbishments’ Team Members to Run 2025 London Marathon for Charity
Hampshire Staircase Refurbishments (HSR) is proud to announce that two of our dedicated team members, Sean Tillett and Roger Wallbank, will be participating in the 2025 London Marathon, collectively representing 20% of our workforce. Their commitment extends beyond the workplace as they each champion causes close to their hearts.
Sean Tillett: Running for Alzheimer’s Awareness
Sean’s motivation is deeply personal. His mother, Mary, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 55. Witnessing the rapid progression of her condition has been heart-wrenching for Sean, fueling his determination to make a difference.
In his own words: “My mum is always my biggest motivation. I think about her every time I run and I always imagine her watching me cross the finish line of the London Marathon, even though unfortunately her condition will prevent that from happening.”
Sean has been diligently training, overcoming challenges, and setting ambitious goals to prepare for the marathon. His journey is not just about personal achievement but also about raising awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Society. To date, he has raised an impressive £721 towards his £2,000 goal.

Roger Wallbank: Supporting ‘Our Harry’s Smile’
Roger is returning to the London Marathon after successfully completing his first in 2023. Inspired by his mother’s participation in the virtual London Marathon in 2022, Roger decided to take on the challenge himself.
This year, Roger is running to raise funds for ‘Our Harry’s Smile,’ a Yateley-based charity dedicated to supporting Harry, a young boy requiring 24/7 care and ongoing physiotherapy. With an upcoming operation necessitating intensive physiotherapy at £80 per hour, Roger’s efforts aim to alleviate some of the financial burdens faced by Harry and his family.
Roger shares his motivation: “Anything we can all do (however little) in these very challenging times might just help to make Harry’s and his mum Christina’s lives that little bit easier.”
